Description
Beast Academy Science is the new elementary-school science curriculum from Art of Problem Solving. The Beast Academy Science series includes lessons, labs, comics, and games that will educate and delight young scientists ages 9-12.
Beast Academy Science 4A is the first in a two-part Level 4 science series. BA Science 4A content is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for grade 4, but often goes well beyond what is typically expected of students. Science 4A includes units on energy, landforms, and body systems. Together with 4B, Level 4 is a complete science curriculum for motivated and curious students.
Beast Academy Science 4A covers the following topics:
Energy: Kinetic and potential energy, energy transfer, thermal energy, and conservation of energy.
Landforms: Rocks and minerals, erosion, landscape features, continents, plate tectonics, mountains, volcanoes, and earthquakes.
Body Systems: Structures and characteristics of living things, movement, metabolism, circulation, and homeostasis.
Beast Academy Science 4A is the first in a two-part Level 4 science series.
