We buy and sell used textbooks all year.  We typically purchase textbooks for the Ontario curriculum, for the International Baccaluareate program, and for the Advanced Placement program.  We will often buy used literature as well as French language materials.

You want to buy used books

You may request a used copy of a book on our website by clicking the 'Request Used Book' button on a book's details page.  This will add your request to our used book waiting list and you will be contacted when a book becomes available.  We can not guarantee used book availability.  We do everything we can to fill every used book request but requesting a used copy can not guarantee that you will receive one.

You may also request used books via telephone, email, or in person at our store.  All requests are added to the same first-come, first-served waiting list.

You want to sell used books

We can not purchase or assess the value of a used book via email or on the phone.  In order to price a used book we need to see it in the store.  Our valuation of used books depends on a few factors:  the condition of the spine, the condition of the pages, the type of book, whether there is highlighting/notes in the book, and the currency of the book.

We will not buy a used book if there are any missing pages, if either cover is missing, if the binding is falling apart, if there is water damage or mold, if there is excessive writing, or if there is grafitti which can not be erased.

We will not buy any book if there is concern about the ownership or if we feel it has been wrongly acquired.

Books that are sold with CD's, inserts, or extra material may be refused or discounted if these items are not present.

We do not pay cash for used books.  We can put the value on a debit card, a credit card, or we can provide store credit.

At all times we reserve the right to refuse purchase of a used book.

We ship our books via Canada Post Expedited.
